Date: March 10, 2013 There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked VL Pesaro (6-16) beat at home higher ranked Enel Brindisi (10-12) 94-90 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 28-21. But Enel Brindisi won second period 24-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. VL Pesaro shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. It was a very good performance for Croatian point guard Rok Stipcevic (185-86) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 assists. International point guard Daniele Cavaliero (188-84) contributed with 24 points for the winners. American forward Antywane Robinson (203-84, college: Temple, agency: Priority Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import point guard Scottie Reynolds (188-87, college: Villanova) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Enel Brindisi. Four VL Pesaro and five Enel Brindisi players scored in double figures. VL Pesaro moved-up to fifteenth place. Enel Brindisi lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. VL Pesaro will face higher ranked Cantu (#6) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
