Valencia are the second EuroCup semifinalists. They edged Unics on aggregate to reach the next stage of the tournament. The Kazan team claimed a 3-point home win tonight but it was not enough to enter the semis. Chuck Eidson finished with 18 points and 8 rebounds for Unics. Valencia entered the game having a 10-point cushion from the home encounter. However Unics put a pressure on the visitors triggering a 20:14 run in the first quarter. Valencia slowed the hosts down in the second frame. The Spanish team cut the deficit at 4-point mark at halftime 31:35. Valencia got closer in the third quarter. The visitors narrowed the margin at just a single point 53:54 at the final intermission. Rafa Martinez opened the fourth frame with back-to-back triples as Valencia grabbed a 59:54 lead. Kaimakoglou and Chuck Eidson put Unics in front 67:64 but it was the biggest lead for Unics in the reminder of the contest as Valencia sealed the next stage appearance at the end. Ian Vougioukas netted 11 points, while Vladimir Veremeenko added 10 points for Unics. Pau Ribas answered with 16 points for Valencia. Rafael Martinez chipped in 11 points in the loss.
