Australia U21 - USA U21 71:96 (21:32, 19:23, 16:20, 17:21) Australia and USA started the Championship and it was a pleasure to see that both teams finished it. A tremendous tournament closed the doors for the FIBA U21 World Championship for Women. USA defended their title beating Australia in the Final 96:71. The North Americans claimed the Gold medals, while Silver went to Australia. Crystal Langhorne (188-C/F-86) was unstoppable for the winners with 23 points and 14 rebounds.   [read more]

USA and Australia will meet in the Final of FIBA U21 World Championship for Women. Both teams upset their opponents in the semifinals of the tournament. USA prevail Russia, while Australia rolled over France 88:81. Australia started with with a 8-0 run and were leading 25:14 at the end of the first quarter.   [read more]

Australia U21-Canada U21 98:57 (19:15, 20:17, 37:12, 22:13) Canada stayed tough in the first half against Australia in FIBA U21 World Championship for Women. In the game against Australia's Sapphires Canada had to admit the level later. The 18-year old center Cayla Francis (192-C-89) carried the Australia team all the way in the opening quarter then the Sapphires easily defeated Canada in the first quarterfinal game of the 2007 U21 World Championships 98:57.   [read more]
