Tyler Dorsey
With an amazing Tyler Dorsey (193-SG-96) at the fourth and most crucial period, end and a very good defense from the duet of Panathinaikos, Michalis Lountzis (191-PG-98) and Georgios Papagiannis (214-C-97) who ended the game with six block shots, the Greek National Team beat Serbia with 69-60 and will now face Tunisia in the next round as the boys of Coach Papatheodorou with a 3-0 in this first round ended in the Top seat of the Group D and will play against Tunisia for the semi Finals with the winner of this game playing the winner between Spain vs Egypt.

The Greek NT started better and from an early stage took a lead with 14-9 and all of a sudden an amazing black out gave the chance to the Serbian NT to succeed an amazing 15-1 and took the initiatives of the game with the score being at a stage 15-24. Coach Papatheodorou added in the roster the 16 years old Lountzis and that was it!! With a good peripheral defense and some long shots from Vasileios Toliopoulos (186-PG-96, agency: Octagon Europe) the first half ended with a 33-37 due to a three pointer of Stefan Peno (195-G-97) on behalf of the Serbian NT.

The third period begun with both the teams exchanging some baskets but with the Greek NT not being able to score form the charity line, while Stamatis was not at his best and was losing the one shot after the other. Vasileios Toliopoulos on the other hand helped a lot the Greek offence and with the assistance of Mitoglou the game became a derby with the Serbians not being able to uplift the deficit. The end of the third period found the two teams to the minimum difference being 46-47

The fourth period was show time for Dorsey as after the first couple of minutes the game became an one man show with the Greek NT getting a deficit of as many as 12 points. The Serbs cut the deficit with long three pointer by Vanja Marinkovic (198-SG-97) but Dorsey was there and with his 10th point in the game ended the derby once and for all.

Top scorers:

Greece: Vasileios Toliopoulos 11 points and 4 assists, Georgios Papagiannis 10 points 6 rebounds and 6 block shots, Tyler Dorsey 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals, Michalis Lountzis 7 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 6 steals..
