Ioannis
Bourousis
The Greek NT is flying from Valencia to Madrid with the best memories as tonight in the most difficult and crucial game of this first round, the Greek internationals added a fifth victory in five games and will face the Serbian NT which ended in the fourth place with a record of 2-3 in a do or die game on Sunday afternoon.
Fifth game, fifth win and fifth different MVP for the Greek NT as tonight was Ioannis Bourousis (213-C-83) turn with his moist solid game until now, the Greek center succeeded a great double-double figure and at the same time won most of the personal fights against the NBA star of Argentina Luis Scola.

Giorgos Bourousis ended the game with 16 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 block shots and 1 steal in 32 minutes. From a close distance was the Greek point guard Nic Calathes in his best game so far in this tournament as he was the top scorer of the team with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and a block shot against Luis Scola at the end!!

The Greek NT was leading the game from the begging as it took an early lead with 16-28 to keep it nearly untouched by the end of the first half with 33-44 with an a amazing buzzer beater three pointer by Nikos Zisis. The third period was more or less the best for the Greek NT as it increased the deficit to +15 forcing the Argentinean Head Coach Lasa to actually quit the game at an early fourth period when he took off Scola and Noccioni but Campazzo had a different opinion and with Safar they tok over the game and eliminate the deficit to simply two points (68-70) with less than 4 minutes to go. The Greek NT showed character and proved to be a total defined TEAM, with clear mind and very good team-work, the Greek NT won the game and the first spot in the group.

Final score was 71-79.

On behalf of Argentina, Luis Scola was the top scorer with 17 points while Campazzo and Priggioni followed with 10.
Greek NT received 18 points by Calathes, 16 by Bourousis, 15 by Printezis and 13 by Zisis who had also 5 assists

It is worth mentioned the fact that the Greek NT in these five first games had 5 different MVP's as follows:
Game 1 against Senegal - Kaimakoglou
Game 2 - against Philippines - Printezis
Game 3 - against Puerto Rico - Zisis
Game 4 against Croatia - Papanikolaou
Game 5 against Argentina - Bourousis
