Group A
Bosnia - Slovakia 84-71
Bosnia and Herzegovina held off Slovakia for 1-1 record in Group A. Dzanan Musa (200-SG-99, agency: BeoBasket) tallied 32 points to lead the effort. Bosnia posted a 38:33 halftime lead. They sank 26 points in the third quarter to boost the margin at 13-point mark and never looked back en route to the win. Aleksandar Lazic (201-F/G-96) delivered 15 points and 7 rebounds in the victory. Radoslav Rancik (205-F/C-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: BeoBasket) answered with 14 points for Slovakia.

Armenia - Sweden 82-69
Armenia registered the second straight win in the World Cup European pre-qualifiers. They held off Sweden in Yerevan. Ryan Boatright (183-PG-92, college: Connecticut) scored 23 points to lead the hosts. Armenia eked out a 43:42 halftime lead. Sweden secured a 58:56 advantage heading into the fourth quarter. But Armenia ignited a 26:11 run in the final term to seal the win. Andrew Chrabascz (203-F-94) netted 18 points in the victory. Marcus Eriksson (201-G/F-93) netted 15 points in the loss.

Group B
Austria - Holland 72-79
Netherlands opened win count in Group B. They upset Austria on the road in the opener. Worthy de Jong (194-SG-88) delivered 22 points to lead the charge. Austria grabbed an 18:15 lead after the first period. But Netherlands went on a 23:14 run in the second term to secure a 6-point halftime lead. They sank 41 points in the second half and marched to the victory. Charlon Kloof (190-G-90, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) tossed in 17 points for the winning side. Jakob Poeltl (213-F-95, college: Utah) replied with 24 points for Austria.

Group C
FYR Macedonia - Estonia 76-80
Estonia outgunned FYR Macedonia for 1-o record in Group C. Rain Veideman (192-G-91) scored 26 points to lead the visitors. FYR Macedonia enjoyed a 29:17 lead at the first break. But Estonia went on a strong 26:13 rally in the second period to surge ahead. They maintained the lead throughout the second half and managed to snatch a tough win at the end. Kristjan Kangur (201-SF-82) had 14 points for the Baltic team. Vojdan Stojanovski (194-G/F-87, agency: BeoBasket) topscored with 26 points for the hosts.

Group D
Bulgaria - Belarus 78-68
Bulgaria knocked down Belarus to gain 2-0 record on top of Group D. Pavel Marinov (199-SF-88) delivered 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the win. Bulgaria posted a 35:29 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 10-point mark heading into the fourth quarter. The teams traded baskets throughout the final period as Bulgaria marched to the win. Aleksander Vezenkov (206-PF-95) chipped in 15 points and collected 15 rebounds for the winners. Vitali Liutych (198-SG-92) netted 19 points for Belarus.
