Five teams remained undefeated at the World University Games in Gwangju. In Group A Germany overcame South Korea 67-58 for a 3-0 record as Radosavljevic top-scored for the winners with 19 points and Hans-George Brase (203-F-93) collected 13 points and 15 rebounds.
In Group B Canada and Russia improved to 4-0 records. Canada posted a comfortable 106-41 win over Mongolia, while Russia beat Mexico 87-68. Viktor Zaryazhko (194-G-92) and Antipov led the way with 11 points each, while Raul Borquez (190-G-93) replied with 19 points in defeat.
France smashed Taiwan 82-32 in Group C as they dominated all four quarters of the game. Moustapha Fall (218-C-92) stepped up with 15 points, while Harley and Poirier netted 11 apiece.
In Group D USA beat Serbia in one of the most interesting games of Day 4 66-65 and improved to a 4-0 record. Wayne Selden (196-SF-94) top-scored for the winners with 21 points and Hunter Mickelson (208-F-92) posted 14. Stefan Pot (195-G-94) responded with 14 points for the Serbian side.

FINAL USA - Lithuania 74-85 Lithuania captured the Gold medals in Taipei. They overcame the USA in the Final. Ignas Vaitkus (196-SF-93, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 15 points to lead the Baltic team. The USA accumulated a 38:36 halftime lead. But Lithuania bounced back with a 25:18 run in the third term. SEMIFINALS Latvia - Lithuania 75-77 Lithuania nipped Latvia to enter Final in Taipei. Ignas Vaitkus (196-SF-93, agency: Octagon Europe) notched 20 points to lead the winners. Latvia recorded a 17:13 lead after the opening quarter. Lithuania bounced back in the second term. They sank 23 points to surge ahead for a 36:33 halftime lead.
