Chylinski gave Poland the first lead and Kelati nailed three for 16:6. Poland played too good and with such a great roster proved the ambitions for the top place in the group. Berisha scored from the perimeter for 19:10 to close the first period. Kelati and again Berisha brought 24:10 in the start of the second frame. Pinto reduced to 31:21, while Silva kept the difference at 37:27. Minhava sent the squads to the lockers as Poland had 44:33 advantage after 25-23 in the second period. Cortez cut it to 50:42, while Poland exploded with 14-0 run for a bigger lead. Lampe made two free throws for 64:42 and Chylinski added two for 66:48. Kelati later opened the last stanza with a lay-up and Berisha's another three-pointer showed 73:48 on the board. Pinto reduced to 78:57 and Minhava brought 84:61. Silva was the last to score in the game for the final result.
Gortat collected 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Lampe notched 14, while Kelati chipped in 13. Silva finished the night with 12 points in the losing case and Jordao added 9. Portugal dropped to 0-2 at the bottom of the group.
