Regular Season Round 11: Olympiakos - Proteas 59-70 (19-20, 15-12, 14-17, 11-21) Date: January 15, 2011 We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Athens where 10th ranked Olympiakos (2-9) was defeated by eleventh ranked Proteas (2-9) 70-59. Olympiakos was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 38-25 second half run of Proteas. They outrebounded Olympiakos 48-32 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. German power forward Linda Frohlich (188-79, college: UNLV, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. American power forward Ashley Ellis-Milan (188-87, college: Minnesota) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Proteas' coach Arguris Papapetrou allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Maria Kiritsaka (168-87) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds and American center Kirsten Thompson (198-87, college: Arizona St.) added 6 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Olympiakos. Proteas moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated Olympiakos. Proteas' next round opponent will be league's leader Athinaikos in Athens and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
