| Greece Regular Season Round 5: PAOK - Panionios 80-77 (19-20, 13-11, 24-21, 24-25) Date: October 29, 2011 A very interesting game took place in Thessaloniki. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Panionios (2-3) to tenth ranked PAOK (2-3) 80-77 in the fight for the sixth place. It looked good early as Panionios took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then PAOK had a 13-11 second period charge getting the lead and Panionios was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-80. PAOK forced 20 Panionios turnovers. It was a great shooting night for PAOK especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. 24 personal fouls committed by Panionios helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Davis Quence nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and American power forward Diana Barnes (188-88, college: Miami, FL) accounted for 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five PAOK players scored in double figures. American guard Brittany Johnson (180-89, college: Ohio St.) came up with 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and international power forward Peli Papamichail (189-86, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Panionios in the defeat. PAOK moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Panionios. PAOK's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Thessaloniki Aris.
