Regular Season Round 3: Liepaja - Valmiera 72-76 (18-21, 21-16, 15-20, 18-19) Date: October 19, 2011 No shocking result in a game when third ranked Valmiera (2-1) beat on the road bottom-ranked Liepaja (0-3) 76-72. Liepaja was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 39-33 second half run of Valmiera. They made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Liepaja was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for the former international forward Ernests Kalve (200-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds.
