Regular Season Round 3: Timisoara - Craiova 61-70 (10-18, 13-19, 19-29, 19-4)

Very expected game when 10th ranked Timisoara (1-2) was defeated at home by leader Craiova (3-0) 70-61. The guests were already 14 points ahead at halftime and as many as 24 after three quarters before a 19-4 last quarter charge of Timisoara cut the lead to 70-61 at the end of the game. Craiova had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American guard Brandie Hoskins (175-85) who led her team to a victory with 32 points and 6 rebounds. Bosnian guard Natasa Mikic (181-84) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Serbian guard Jovana Vukoje (174-86) answered with 16 points and 4 assists and Slovenian forward Martina Osterman (188-88) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Timisoara. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Craiova have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Timisoara at the other side dropped to the eighth place with two games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Craiova will play against Targu Mures (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Timisoara will play against Oradea in Oradea to get more than just one victory in their record.
