Regular Season Round 6: Craiova - Olimpia 95-67 (25-16, 22-10, 27-20, 21-21) Date: October 29, 2011 No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Craiova (5-1) smashed at home 12th ranked Olimpia (1-5) 95-67. The game without a history. Craiova led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Olimpia to an opponent 22.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 59.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Olimpia 61-24 including a 47-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Craiova brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. 25 personal fouls committed by Olimpia helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Carla Bartee (182-85, college: Mississippi) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 26 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Brandie Hoskins (175-85) supported her with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Craiova players scored in double figures. Even 20 points by forward Gabriela Munteanu (177-88) did not help to save the game for Olimpia. Swingman Sonia Ursu (175-93) added 12 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
