Regular Season Round 10: Spartak SP - Spartak V MR 48-76 (15-30, 7-21, 14-13, 12-12) Date: December 3, 2011 PBL top team - Spartak Vidnoye (9-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Spartak St.Petersburg (2-7) 76-48. The game was mostly controlled by Spartak Vidnoye. Spartak St.Petersburg managed to win third quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Spartak Vidnoye dominated on the defensive end, holding Spartak St.Petersburg to just 7 points in second quarter. American power forward Candice Dupree (188-84, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) scored 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian forward Jelena Milovanovic (190-89) chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Yulia Lukina (185-88) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and Ekaterina Timofeeva scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Spartak Vidnoye have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-0 record. Spartak St.Petersburg lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Dynamo-GUVD and Dynamo M.. Spartak Vidnoye are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Energy Ivanovo (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Spartak St.Petersburg will play against Nadezhda Orenburg and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
