Regular Season Round 7: Besiktas - Trabzonspor 94-85

Everything went according to plan in Istanbul where seventh ranked Besiktas (4-3) beat 16th ranked Trabzonspor (1-6) 94-85. It was a great evening for American guard Mire Chatman (187-78, college: UTPA, agent: Craig McKenzie) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 6 assists. Russian center Fedor Likholitov (210-80, college: Va Commonwealth) helped adding 20 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Ali Karadeniz (203-80, college: Arizona) responded with double-double 20 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian center Vladislav Dragojlovic (207-79, agent: Misko Raznatovic) with double-double 18 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Trabzonspor (1-6) added fifth loss to their record. That victory allowed Besiktas (4-3) to climb to sixth place. They share it with Olin Edirne and Bornova. Newly promoted Trabzonspor (1-6) on the other side took thirteenth position. Besiktas are looking forward to the next round to face Olin Edirne (#7) on the road. Trabzonspor will play against Mersin (#13) hoping to prove their supporters that they can break losing series.
