“Alita” played a little bit
luckier in the beginning of the game, but R.Conley, one of the best players in
Lithuanian team, got 2 fouls in offense in first 2 minutes. Players made a lot
of fouls. The fight went on point to point; the score was 13:12 to “Alita”
benefit in 6 minute. “Alita” got 5 points advantage in 10 minute – 21:16,
but “Lokomotiv” players reduced the difference very fast – 24:23. Than
Lithuanian team played better and got 8 points advantage in 18 minute – 34:26,
but after that Russian team threw in 8 “dry” points and finished the first
half – 34:34. They equalized the score, because they had the advantage of
height and fought for balls better than competitors. O.Melescenko was
irrepressible, he scored 18 points (4/4 3pts) in the first half.
The similar fight went on in the beginning of the second half. “Lokomotiv”
got 5 points advantage – 46:51. After that “Alita” players won the length
10:0 and were wining 58:53 in the middle of the second half. The score was 66:61
to “Alita” benefit in 14 minute. Than Lithuanian team threw in 4 “dry”
points and increased the advantage till 9 points – 70:61, but the difference
reduced till 4 points very fast – 72:68. “Alita” won the length 6:0 and
was wining 78:68 in 18 minute. Than Lithuanian team won one more length 9:0 and
finished the game 90:74 (Gediminas).
Actually
, "Zalgiris" will play in Tuesday with "Panathinaikos" in
Athens. Last game statistic's in the game with "Olimpia"(SLO) I
already sent. Now I am on holidays and I am not sure if I will be able to send
you statistics and my comments tomorow. However I will try. (Mindaugas)

“Piloset”
had 8:2 run in the beginning of the game. It seemed, that it will be very hard
to win for “Alita”, because the defense of Finns was very adhesive.
Lithuanian players were pursuing “Piloset” players little by little and
equalized the score – 19:19 after G.Sivickas foul shots. Than “Alita” got
the advantage and was increasing it. Lithuanian team won the first half by score
43:32. K.Patiejunas was playing goodly in the first half, he scored 12 points,
R.Conley was playing goodly in defense, he stole many balls, but he played worse
in offense, because his throws were not prepared. He scored throwing in free
throws mostly. R.Seferis hit 4 three pointers (one throw was with the foul) and
scored 13 points. “Piloset” players tried to finish their attacks throwing
in 3 pointers, but such tactics was not good. Lithuanian team was playing better
in the second half too. “Alita” players were playing fast and “Piloset”
players got tired because of short reserve bench. The center L.Norville was
unrecognizable. Lithuanian centers couldn’t settle with him in the first
match, but he was playing badly this game.
