PTT Turk Telekom Ankara beat Slovakofarma Pezinok (SVK) 77-66 in Saporta Cup. The game was played without any spectators because of Telekom's punishment. The first 5 minutes passed equal, but then Koul started the game and Telekom got the lead. He was very good in the game close to the basket. They finished the first half 40-33 ahead. Croatian team won with good 3-P shoots (73%). MZT lead during all first half-time, but not more than 7 points. Split was strong beetwen 29. and 37.minute with partial resultat 17:1!!! Cholet lost its first European game on the road in Ankara. Ankara was led by last year’s French league MVP : Jerry Mc Cullough. Telekom led by 12 at half time and continued their good play through out the match.

Turk Telecom played without injured play-guard Mc Cullough and lead all the match. Split had lot problems with shoot form distance (Miller 1/9, Mamic 3/10) and in 25.minute lost 34:52.

MZT Boss Skopje was defeated by French Cholet in B-group of Saporta Cup 71-86. The supporters were unsatisfied with coaching of Drazen Dalipagic, who was forcing the Yugoslavians Mavrenski and Milatovic, though both were very weak. The third lost game was unexpected for the Managing Board. Only American Frazier Johnson and the national players Pero Blazevski and Georgi Knjazev in MZT Boss Skopje were able to fight against better French players. Mavrenski with 8 p. and Milatovic with 4, who supposed to be the leaders, were not impressive at all. French players did not allow in the second half to get even close and they controlled the whole game.

The best performance of Belarussian Aleksandar Koul so far. He shot an amazing 12/14 fiel goal. Telekom trailed 28-30 at half time nut they started 2nd half very well and beat Skopje by 18 and they continued theri lead in their group.

MZT Boss Skopje finally made a second win in Saporta cup against ex-triple euro-champion in dramatic game. Blazevski netted four three pointer and keep the strenght of the team when the guests made 13-0 in a row in second half. Tvrdic and Subotic missed the last shot for win. Blazevski had 29 p. (6/9 for 3, 2/5 for 2, 7/8 for 1 and 7 reb.). Tvrdic with 26 p. (4/10 for 3, 4/6 for 2, 6/8 for 1, 10 reb.) was the best at the guests.

The chances of MZT Boss Skopje for fourth place in B-group of Saporta Cup, that means entering in the further competition, are only theoretic, after the win against Slovakofarma Pezinok of 84-76 (41-32). The defeats of the storks away in Split and Pezinok were with the bigger diference in a case to equalized with these teams. And this is possible only if the Skopje squad would win against french Cholet and Turk Telekom. Pero Blazevski was the hero of the night agains with four threepointers in a row (26 p., 4/9 for 3, 4/8 for 2, 6/6 for 1). American Johnson also was brilliant with 25 p. 12 reb. and series of blocks. At the guest team, Kuznecov and Sirtautaswith 14, Michuda with 15 and Ristanovic with 17 were the best.

MZT Boss didn't succed to win for farewell with Saporta Cup, where they lost the chance for 1/16 finals a week ago. The "storks" lost against Turk Telecom 73-81, playing without a motivation. The decisive distance Turks made in second half. The hosts lost a lot of balls in second half, though they lead in a first half 36-32, the same like in Ancara. Even they made 8 points difference on the beginning of the second half, but later Turk Telecom made 36-11. Only Knjazev performed well in MZT Boss Skopje (26 p. 6 assists), but Blazevski was not in a good mood. At guests' team, Bibo was the best, as usual (23 p., 5 reb., 5 grabbed), Belarus Alexander Koul (13 p.)
and Bereznoi.
