Limoges won in Salonique in the 3^rd round of Saporta Cup. The first half was dominated by the Greeks who made all of their shots and took a 45-25 lead after 20 minutes. In the second half, Limoges played an INCREDIBLE defense, allowing only 10 points in 20 minutes. On the last play, young point guard Stéphane Dumas took a shot in trafic, and gave his team a 2 points victory. Limoges is now first of its group.

ARIS "BROKE THE PORCELAIN"
(Limoges, Nov.18) The 'god of war' seemed to be like a bull into a glass store in Boblan, taking what he was worth of. ARIS beat Limoges in their home with 73-79, taking revenge for the 1st round unexpected loss in Salonica from the french team, and the Greeks are now even closer to the first place of their group for the Saporta Cup. It was a great victory for the 'yellows', who now see alive the vision of winning the cup in the 2nd most important European competition. ARIS played smart against Limoges. Ran whenever was needed and froze up the game pace when judged it was necessary. Gary 'the general' Grant was once more the 'maestro of the greek orchestra', and with 22 points he became the executioner of Limoges, whose fans kept on condemning him though he wasn't affected. Mikhail Mikhailov was a real giant with 19 points running up the 'yellow' top-scorers after Grant. The 'yellows' were ahead in the first half in 32-40, keeping the game under their control in the biggest part of the match. Limoges tried to become dangerous in the last minutes with some 3pt. shots and came close 71-72, but ARIS seemed to be more experienced and calm, winning the match with 73-79. Top-performers of the Salonica team were Gary Grant, Giorgos Sigalas, Mikhail Mikhailov and Nasos Galakteros, while Markovic was the best of Limoges.
