Jersey Express vs Connecticut TopBallerz in first National TV game - by Gianni Pascucci

The Jersey Express will host the Connecticut TopBallerz in the ABA National TV Debut on the UBC-TV Network (www.ubctvnetwork.com) on Saturday, December 8th at Centenary College Reeves Gymnasium, 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ. Tip-off is at 8pm with a special halftime show and plenty of celebrity appearances to be announced.

Last round of first stage was played this friday. San Martin Corrientes remained as the only unbeaten team, showing why they are considered the candidates to win TNA this season. 6th round also showed some impressive results as the victories of instituto, sport club and Rocamora on the road.

Ethias League Round 4: Okapi Aalstar loses their first game against Belfius Mons-Hainaut - by Eurobasket News

After 4 rounds played we can already see who rules in the Ethias League and who belongs to weaker ones.

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Okapi Aalstar (3-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (2-2) 82-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Okapi Aalstar. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Brian Qvale (210-88, college: Montana) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Jonathan Wallace (187-86, college: Georgetown, agency: Pro One Sports) who added 21 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side American guard Ryan Thompson (198-89, college: Rider) responded with 19 points. Belfius Mons-Hainaut moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Antwerp and Oostende. Okapi Aalstar at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Spirou and Liege. Belfius Mons-Hainaut is looking forward to face higher ranked Spirou Charleroi (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Okapi Aalstar will play against the league's second-placed Liege Basket in Liege and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Antwerp Giants (2-2) against fourth ranked Spirou Charleroi (3-1) on Thursday night. Visiting Antwerp Giants were defeated by Spirou Charleroi in Charleroi 70-53. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The winners were led by American swingman Matt Walsh (197-82, college: Florida) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Je'Kel Foster supported him with 17 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds by American power forward Jason Love (206-87, college: Xavier) did not help to save the game for Antwerp Giants. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spirou Charleroi have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Aalstar and Liege. Antwerp Giants at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Oostende and M.Hainaut. Spirou Charleroi will play against Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#6) in Quaregnon in the next round where they are favorite. Antwerp Giants will play at home against Base Oostende and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Loser VOO Verviers-Pepinster still closes the standings with four games lost. Liege Basket will meet at home league's leader Okapi Aalstar in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. American swingman Matt Walsh (197-F/G-82) had a great game in the last round for Spirou, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Antwerp (#4, 2-2) with 17-point margin 70-53. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Spirou is placed at 3rd position in Belgian Ethias League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Spirou will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. Walsh turned to be Spirou's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Florida star has very solid stats this year. Walsh is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.0ppg. Walsh is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 6.5rpg), assists (5th best: 4.0apg) and averages impressive 57.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old American Matt Lojeski (198-G-85) of Oostende. Lojeski had a very good evening with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he lead Oostende to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Leuven (#7, 1-3) 100-57. This victory allowed Oostende to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 2-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Lojeski is one of the most experienced players at Oostende and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.8ppg (#3). He also registered 4.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Oostende's star - Slovenian forward Dragisa Drobnjak (200-F-77, agency: Beo Basket). Drobnjak scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was another key player of Oostende, helping his team with a 100-57 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Leuven (#7, 1-3). Oostende needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. The Vila Velha/Cetaf closed three more signings for the dispute of the 2012-2013 season of the NBB. Late on Friday, the managers of the club announced the hit with the forward Case Santos (203-C/F-77), center Wellington Alvarenga (203-C-87) and point guard Alexandre Pinheiro (185-G-85).

The point guard Alexandre Pinheiro, 27 years old, was born in the city of Limeira, Sao Paulo, but was raised in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais. The player was disputing the Paulista State by Mogi das Cruzes, where he was one of the highlights of the team in the competition. This will be his second pass in the Club, as in 2009-10, the player defended Vila Velha/Cetaf in the NBB. NBL Round 8: Top-ranked CEZ Nymburk wins another game - by Eurobasket News

The round 8 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results.

NBL top team - CEZ Nymburk (8-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed eighth ranked B&W Opava (2-5) 101-58. The game without a history. CEZ Nymburk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to B&W Opava's 24. They outrebounded B&W Opava 41-26 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Lukas Palyza (201-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. The former international swingman Vojtech Hruban (202-89) contributed with 10 points and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Jakub Blazek (203-80) replied with 16 points and 7 rebounds for B&W Opava. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated CEZ Nymburk have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-0 record. B&W Opava lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with five games lost. They share the position with Svitavy. CEZ Nymburk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. B&W Opava will play at home against USK Praha (#4) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 8: BK Decin beat J.Hradec on the road 91-87. NH Ostrava destroyed Usti n/Labem on its own court 85-65. Levice unfortunately lost to USK Praha in a road game 78-84. Svitavy was rolled over BK Prostejov at home 78-97.
The most impressive performance of 8th round was 20 points and 10 rebounds by Jeremiah Wilson of NH Ostrava.

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked BK Decin (4-2) beat 12th ranked BK Lions Hradec (1-7) in J.Hradec 91-87 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-87. Strangely BK Lions Hradec outrebounded BK Decin 42-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. 29 personal fouls committed by BK Lions Hradec helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Lubos Stria (197-81) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points. American guard Patrick Pope (183-81, college: St.Augustine) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Center Jan Tomanec (205-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and forward Roman Zachrla (200-87) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for BK Lions Hradec. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. BK Lions Hradec's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. BK Decin maintains fifth position with 4-2 record. BK Lions Hradec lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Usti n/Labem. BK Decin are looking forward to face league's second-placed NH Ostrava at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BK Lions Hradec will play against Levice (#7) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.

Korisliiga, round 7: Watch out, Pohjanmaa basketball is coming! Yesterday Kauhajoki (Karhu) upset Pyrinto in Tampere and tonight Lapua (Korikobrat) defeated KTP (Kotka) at Lapua 94-82 (36-35). There were 18 lead changes and 12 ties during the 40 minutes. The victory was the first one eve for Lapuar on the home court on top level. Lapua had five players in double digits. Chris Commons (206-F-84, college: USC Aiken) led the hosts with 23 points. Dwight Tolbert (195-F-86, college: Lander) added 20 pts. Antwine Williams (192-F-75, agency: Prossin Sports Management, college: N.Colorado) netted 21 pts for the visitors.
In Salo local Vilpas lost again. This time visitor Kataja (Joensuu) won by 10 points 66-76 (36-39) even team had several players on injured list. Jerald Fields (201-F/C-82, college: E.Tenn.St.) was anyway back in action and he led at once Kataja with 18 points. Kataja had only eight players on the roster. Marquis Hall (183-PG-87, college: Lehigh) led Vilpas with 20 pts. And in Forssa local FoKoPo had no chances vs Bisons (Loimaa). Bisons crushed the hosts 68-106 (34-50). Charles Burgess (186-PG-84, college: Texas Tech) scored 26 points (treys 5/6) for FoKoPo, but Martin Zeno (196-G-85, college: Texas Tech) (Bisons) with his 35 pts was the king of the court once again.

ProB Round 6: Saint-Quentin hands first loss to Olympique Antibes - by Eurobasket News

There were just 6 rounds played in Regular Season of ProB and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Olympique Antibes (5-1) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Saint-Quentin (4-2) 91-84. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Olympique Antibes. The guests trailed by 19 points at the halftime before their 58-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for power forward Julien Lesieu (201-C/F-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. American-Ghanian Amu Saaka (198-88, college: Furman, agency: Pro One Sports) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Senegalese center Moussa Badiane (205-81, college: E.Carolina) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds for Olympique Antibes. Saint-Quentin moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Olympique Antibes at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Saint-Quentin is looking forward to face SPO Rouen (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Eighteenth-ranked Denain Voltaire (0-6) was very close to win a game against second ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (5-1) on Friday. Pau-Lacq-Orthez managed to secure only three-point victory 92-89. However their fans expected much easier game. Charles Jackson notched a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by Marcus Kitts did not help to save the game for Denain Voltaire. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pau-Lacq-Orthez used an opportunity after Antibes lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser Denain Voltaire still closes the standings with six games lost. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will meet Nantes (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Denain Voltaire will play against Aix-Maurienne in Aix-les-Bains and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked JL Bourg (3-3) against sixth ranked Aix-Maurienne (4-2) on Friday night. Visiting JL Bourg was defeated by Aix-Maurienne in Aix-les-Bains 83-65. The best player for the winners was Wilbert Brown who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Aix-Maurienne's coach Antoine Michon allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Aix-Maurienne moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. JL Bourg at the other side dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Aix-Maurienne's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Denain Voltaire (#18) on the road which should be an easy win for them. JL Bourg will play against Le Portel (#3).
Important game to mention about took place in Fos. Seventeenth ranked Fos Ouest (2-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Chalons-Reims (3-3) 78-76 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chalons-Reims. It was a good game for Edouard Choquet who led his team to a victory with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Fos Ouest's coach Remi Giutta used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Fos Ouest moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Chalons-Reims keeps the eighth position with three games lost. Fos Ouest will face league's leader Olympique Antibes on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 6: Le Portel beat Charleville on the road 72-69. Hyeres-Toulon lost to St Vallier on its own court 84-89. Nantes unfortunately lost to Rouen in a road game 83-95. Bordeaux recorded a loss to Lille at home 88-98.

Boulogne - Evreux 92-98

Another exciting game for ALM Evreux (4-2) which played on the court of 7th ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (3-3). Eighth ranked ALM Evreux won 98-92. It looked good early as SO Maritime Boulogne took an 19-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then ALM Evreux took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 6 points. Charleville-Mezieres was trailing by 12 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 18-10 charge of Le Portel, which allowed them to win the game. Le Portel outrebounded Charleville-Mezieres 42-30 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Charleville-Mezieres was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for naturalized Guyanese Armand Charles (193-83) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Jackson's double-double lands him ProB Player of the Week award - by Eurobasket News

25-year old forward Charles Jackson (203-F-87, agency: Court Side) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez and receives a Eurobasket.com ProB Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Denain (#18, 0-6), the league's bottom-ranked team 92-89. Pau-Lacq-Orthez maintains the 2nd position in French ProB. They are still close to the very top. Pau-Lacq-Orthez would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. Jackson turned to be Pau-Lacq-Orthez's top player in his first season with the team. Hawaii-Pacific University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jackson is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.0rpg) and averages solid 63.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jason Siggers (188-SG-85) of Lille. He is American guard in his first season at Lille. In the last game Siggers recorded impressive 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Lille cruised to a 98-88 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Bordeaux (#17, 1-5). This victory allowed Lille to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 4-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Siggers is a newcomer at Lille and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.2ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 5.3rpg and 3.5apg.

Third place about best performers goes to Julien Lesieu (201-C/F-83) of St Quentin (#5). Lesieu scored 26 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of St Quentin, leading his team to a 91-84 win against the higher-ranked Antibes (#1, 5-1). St Quentin needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Lesieu has a great season in France. UBC Hannover Tigers waive Tyrone Nared - by Moritz Korff

2. Bundesliga Pro B side UBC Hannover has parted company with Tyrone Nared (203-F, college: Oregon). "Tyrone has a great character and always acted professionally. Unfortunately he could not fulfil our expectations on the court", UBC sport director Michael Goch stated on the team's website. The 23-year-old appeared in four Pro B games for the Hannover team and averaged 11.5 points as well as 4.3 rebounds per contest.
The Tigers are currently looking for a new player for the 4/5 spot.

Kellen Williams back in Zwickau - by Moritz Korff

Kellen Williams (194-F-84, agency: Dynamics Global Management, college: E.Washington) has joined BC Energie Zwickau (1. Regionalliga South-East) for a second stint. The 28-year-old Seattle, Washington, native already played for the Zwickau team from 2008 to 2010, making the Eurobasket.com All-German Regionalliga South-East First Team in his second season.
In his comeback game, a 75-76 loss to Take-Off Wuerzburg, Williams posted an impressive double-double: 22 points and 19 rebounds. In the last two years Williams played for Pro B team RSV Eintracht Teltow/Kleinmachnow/Stahnsdorf. He averaged 15.5 points and 10.2 boards in the 2011-12 campaign.

Michael Creppy has joined Magdeburg Eagles - by Moritz Korff

Michael Creppy (190-G-86, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: Cal-Riverside) made his debut for the BBC Solarto Eagles Magdeburg (1. Regionalliga North) this Saturday. He scored 16 points in a 91-80 win over SSV Lok Bernau. Creppy is a 26-year-old guard from Silver Spring, Maryland, who holds a passport of the United Kingdom. He spent his college career at Coppin State and Cal. State Riverside. As a professional Creppy has played for the Georgia Gwizzlies in the CBL, for the Worcester Wolves in the British Basketball League and most recently for Danish first division team Team FOG Naestved. He averaged 9.9 points, 2.4 boards and 1.9 assists a game for Team FOG last season.

TBB Trier Keep Jermaine Bucknor - by Miles Schmidt-Scheuber

Beko BBL team TBB Trier announced today that they will keep Jermaine Bucknor (199-F-83, college: Richmond) until 2014. Bucknor is a 29 year old 199cm forward from Edmonton, Canada that is playing his third season in Germany. TBB Trier had gotten Bucknor for a short term contract for the injured Dragan Dojcin, but decided to keep him until 2014. Bucknor played for Frankfurt in 2010-2011 and last season for Wurzburg. "Jermaine has been a great support the last weeks and has been there from the start getting integrated well. It is great that we can keep him for two more years. It is a luxury situation for me to have a player like that", stated TBB Trier head coach Henrik Rodl. In his first four games, Bucknor was averaging 8,0ppg and 3,3rpg. Bucknor who played at Richmond and in France for his first four years as a professional is happy about remaining. "It is a lot of fun being a part of this team. I have had a great time in Trier so far. The team spirit and intensity is working. Our goal is to be the best team that we can be and we are working on it each day. I know that Trier hasn't been in the playoffs the last years. I don't know if it will work this time, but my decision to stay was easy", added Jermaine Bucknor.

Ermis Lagkada forced 19 Doxa Lefkadas turnovers. Strangely Doxa Lefkadas outrebounded Ermis Lagkada 53-29 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dionysios Giannakopoulos (195-G/F-82) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Lavrio and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com A2 Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 30-year old swingman had the game-high 35 points adding seven rebounds and two assists for Lavrio in his team's victory, helping them to beat Irakleio (#11, 1-2) 78-71. Lavrio maintains the 3rd position in Greek A2. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Lavrio already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Giannakopoulos had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He has many years of experience at Lavrio, through which he has constantly improved. Dionysios Giannakopoulos averages just after two games 20.5ppg and 6.5rpg.

BJ League Round 6: Hamamatsu Phoenix hands first defeat to Shimane Magic - by Eurobasket News

Round 6 means everything may happen in BJ League as the season just started. There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Undefeated Shimane Magic (4-1) recorded its first loss in Mikawa on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (4-3) 99-86. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Shimane Magic. The game was mostly controlled by Hamamatsu Phoenix. Shimane Magic managed to win third quarter 30-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hamamatsu Phoenix looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Kevin Galloway (200-88, college: Texas Southern, agency: Top Notch Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. The other American import forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic, agency: Top Notch Sports) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hamamatsu Phoenix moved-up to fourth place. Shimane Magic at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Shinshu BW and Oita H.Devils. Undefeated Iwate Big Bulls (7-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. NKL Round 8: Change at the top of the standings - by Eurobasket News

NKL round 8 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Meresta (6-2) against second ranked Statyba (7-1) 85-68 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Meresta. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Statyba dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Meresta's 34. They outrebounded Meresta 43-25 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Karolis Brusokas (200-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Center Vitalijus Luksa (206-86) contributed with 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Statyba's coach Gintautas Regina used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Liudas Radavicius (188-88) replied with 19 points and 4 steals for Meresta. Statyba have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Meresta at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Mazeikiai and Suduva-Mantinga. They were replaced at the leadership position by Statyba. Meresta will play next round against Ezerunas-Karys trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Statyba will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Mazeikiai on the road.
The game in Vilnius was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Mazeikiai (6-2) played at the court of 6th ranked S.Marciulionio (4-4). Mazeikiai managed to secure a 5-point victory 83-78. Worth to mention a great performance of Rokas Giedraitis (198-92) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds and Osvaldas Macernis who added 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Denis Krestinin (202-94, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Mazeikiai moved-up to second place, which they share with Meresta and Suduva-Mantinga. S.Marciulionio at the other side dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Triobet. Mazeikiai will play against league's leader Statyba in Vilnius in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. S.Marciulionio will play on the road against Radviliskis (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Radviliskis between Delikatesas and Radviliskis. Tenth ranked Delikatesas (5-3) got a very close victory on the road over 16th ranked Radviliskis (2-6). Delikatesas managed to escape with a 1-point win 74-73 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The winners were led by Aivaras Kvedaravicius who scored that evening 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 16 points and 5 rebounds by Rytis Rauktys did not help to save the game for Radviliskis. Delikatesas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Radviliskis dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Nafta Universitetas and Birstono. Delikatesas will meet at home Zalgiris-Sabonio (#7) in the next round. Radviliskis will play against S.Marciulionio (#11) in Vilnius and hope to secure a win.
The game between fifth ranked Dzukija (5-3) and 17th ranked Silute (1-7) in Alytus ended with biggest points difference. Dzukija outscored guests from Silute 111-74. The best player for the winners was Giedrius Kurtinaitis who scored 32 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Newly promoted Dzukija maintains fifth position with 5-3 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Silute lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with seven games lost. Dzukija's next round opponent will be Ezerunas-Karys (#13) in Moletai and are hoping to win another game. Silute will play against Birstono (#14).

There were no big surprises in other games of round 8: Ezerunas-Karys was smashed by Zalgiris-Sabonio on the road 90-71. Nafta Universitetas was destroyed by Triobet on its own court 71-95. Suduva-Mantinga managed to outperform Birstono in Marijampole 63-54. Olimpas managed to beat Gargzdai at home 83-72.
The most impressive performance of 8th round was 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks by Arturas Gudaitis of Zalgiris-Sabonio.
