Samir Sehic shines at Supersophcamp - by Nedzad Kladusak

Samir Sehic is one of the most promising inside talents in BIH and it is only the commitment to the elite NIKE EYBL that hindered him to make his debut for BIH U16.
Sehic seems to be exactly that type of player enjoying also a high basketball IQ and a nice technique. He can bang inside but also dish an assist for his teammate.
Last week Samir attended the Supersophcamp rallying the best 100 best Sophomores of the USA. Samir made it to the best 40 players where he simply dominated the All-Star match.

The following recap by Brian McLawhorn pictures him as a player who has definitely the potential to be one of the leaders of the best generation BIH ever had.

Final day of camp ends with excellent basketball; Day three recap
by Brian McLawhorn - 6/03/2012
COLLEGE PARK, GA -- The third and final day of the Super Soph Camp is now in the books, and as anticipated, it produced some excellent basketba...ll to put the type of exclamation point down that the event deserved.
Sunday got kicked off with a final session of camp games, providing players one last opportunity to impress coaches for a chance to be selected to the Top 20 and Top 40 All-Star teams.
Though many guys were playing with heavy legs early Sunday morning, the intensity level was still very high. And that trend carried through to the all-star games that brought the camp to a close.
TOP 40 ALL-STAR GAME
The final outcome of the Top 40 All-Star game was not quite as close as the Top 20, as the Red team walked away with a commanding 63-42 victory.
Red, which was made up of Tyler Jackson, Justin Wertner, Samir Sehic, Danjel Purifoy, Reggie Reid, Matt Milon, Taron Oliver, Kevin Murph and Edward Porter, set the tone from the very start and never let up.
The big guy was scoring on put-backs and sweet jumpers from just inside the 3-point stripe. The Blue team simply had no answer early on for the camp's tallest prospect.
Reid also used his quickness to create opportunities for himself and teammates, while Sehic put together and MVP type performance.
Sehic was like a vacuum on the defensive glass. If the ball was anywhere in his area, it was his. No one was outworking him for boards. He also did a tremendous job finishing around the basket and getting others involved. His understanding of the game was clearly on display in the final contest and for that reason his team was afforded many easy scoring opportunities.

  CHINA

CBA Rumors - by Alex Yam

The 2012-13 Chinese Basketball season is over 5 months away, yet rumors are swirling of potential league rule changes, and most importantly possible players signings. The supposed hot rumor is that the league is looking to do away with the "Asian" import rule, which states that the bottom 4 teams can have an additional player so long as the player is of an Asian decent, passport. The player can not be an American converted into a National.

The idea is that this past season the Bayi team which is not allowed to have an American, is grouped in the bottom 4, so that would be make the playing field even more unfair, as they would not be allotted the Asian player either. Teams like Fuijian, and Beijing and Shanghai have all benefited from having this rule, as they went from the bottom of the standings to playoff teams, even into the top 4 standings of the league.

The player front has been relatively quiet as teams look to become more active shortly after summer league ends, as players then become available, and the market contracts due to European signings. Players signing now are mostly returning players, those of high value.
