Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul will play at Euroleague for next season again with a wild card. So they want to build a competitive roster. One of their targets for the forward position will be Stratos Perperoglou (203-SF-84). The experienced Greek player was in Anadolu Efes's 2014-15 roster. He played at 27 Euroleague games with the stats of 9.8 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 1.3 apg.

Ostioneros de Guaymas (CIBACOPA) landed 32-year old American forward Travis Garrison (203-107kg-84, college: Maryland). He moved there from Al Bahrain in Bahrain Premier League where he started the season. Garrison also played at Naglis Palangos (NKL) in Lithuanian league that season. In two Premier League games he averaged 5.0ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.5bpg this season. He also spent pre-season at Dzukija (LKL) in Lithuanian league that year.
In 2006 Garrison was drafted by Atlanta Krunk Wolverines (CBA) in third round (25th overall).
He attended University of Maryland and it will be his tenth season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements Garrison's team made it to the NKL Semifinals in 2015. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TB2L 1st Team award back in 2009.
Garrison is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Greece (Ilysiakos and Kavala), Spain (Cantabria), Ukraine (Khimik), Uruguay (Cordon and Trouville), Venezuela (Gaiteros), South Korea (SK Knights) and Turkey (Denizli and Maliye Milli).
Garrison's game is described as: A 6-8 power forward who can face the basket, rebound and defend in the interior.

Kesteloot played there also last season. In 35 Scooore League games he recorded 3.5ppg and 1.4rpg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals. Kesteloot also played at Okapi Aalstar earlier that season. He played there also last season. Kesteloot also played 12 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 3.0ppg and 2.0rpg.
Despite young age Kesteloot had impressive career. He was voted Eurobasket.com All-European Championships U20 Honorable Mention in 2015.
He has been also a member of Belgian international program for some years. Kesteloot played for Belgian senior team this year and previously for U18 National Team between 2012 and 2013. He represented Belgium at the European Championships U20 in Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy) last year. His stats at that event were 10 games: 15.3ppg, 6.7rpg, FGP: 50.8%, 3PT: 28.3%, FT: 76.6%.

In 29 games he averaged impressive 16.5ppg, 4.7rpg and 4.7apg. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Turkish League All-Star Game. The last season Roll played at Turk Telekom (BSL) in Turkey. In 33 games he had 9.4ppg, 2.8rpg and 2.6apg.
The previous (13-14) season he played at CAI Zaragoza. In 36 Liga Endesa games he had 10.0ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.2apg in 2013-14 season. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Roll also played 16 games in Eurocup where he had 9.8ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.4apg in 2013-14 season.
Among other achievements his team was regular season runner-up in Belgian League in 2012. Roll received also Afrobasket.com All-African Championships 2nd Team award in 2015. He was a member of Tunisian Senior National Team last year.

Openjobmetis Varese (Serie A) is about to confirm 34-year old Estonian ex-international small forward Kristjan Kangur (201-96kg-82). In nineteen Serie A games he had 8.1ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.6apg this season. Kangur also spent pre-season at Laboral Kutxa (Liga Endesa) in Spanish league earlier that year. In first three Serie A games he recorded 3.7ppg and 3.3rpg.

According to eurobasket sources, ex Brose Baskets Bamberg head coach Chris Fleming will continue to add on to his illustrious basketball resume and be an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets. Fleming will serve under new head coach Kenny Atkinson. Last season Fleming was an assistant coach for the Denver Nuggets. Fleming will join the coaching staff of Atkinson and if you look at the similarities between Fleming and Atkinson, then it isn't too surprising that these guys would work together one day. Both guys come from New Jersey, both played at Richmond (NCAA), both played professionally overseas and both have had experience coaching a national team as Atkinson did with the Dominican Republic and Fleming still does with Germany. Fleming started to build his extensive coaching resume in Germany and first made a name leading a second division team Artland Dragons to the top league BBL in 2003 and then rapidly into a playoff team and won the German cup in 2008. He then moved on to the Brose Baskets Bamberg where he won 10 titles from 2008-2014.

Beko BBL team Basketball Lowen Braunschwieg have announced that ex German national player Stephen Arigbabu will join the coaching staff. The German will be an assistant coach for head coach Frank Menz this coming season. The club also announced that Lars Masell won't be with the club any longer. Arigbabu who is also coach of the German A-2 national team got a contract for three years. "I am very happy that we could win Stephan for our program. I know him since many years and respect him as a coach, player and personality. He has a lot of experience and brings us professionalism and he will hellp us with the development of your players. He also fits well into my future plans", stated head coach Frank Menz.
Arigbabu as a player started his career in Braunschweig, but also gathered experience in Ulm, Berlin, Cologne and Weissenfels while also playing in Italy and 6 years in Greece. His biggest achievements was winning a Bronze at the world championships in Indianapolis in 2002 and a Silver at the European championships in Belgrade in 2005. As a coach he started his career with the
BSW Sixers (Regionalliga) in 2010 and had a brief tenure with SC Rasta Vechta in 2014. "I am very happy to get the chance to be an assistant with Braunschweig. I have a past with the city and club that really links me. I like the concept of Frank Menz and am happy to be able to be a part of it", added Stephan Arigbabu.

Ratiopharm Ulm secured the services of Da'Sean Butler (201-F-88, college: W.Virginia, agency: Inception Sports) for the next season. The forward joined the German side at the start of the season. He averaged 9.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per EuroCup game. In BBL Da'Sean Butler posted 10.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per appearance. Previously Da'Sean Butler had stints in France, Belgium, Latvia, D-League. He was the member of the USA University National Team.

German pro B team Iserlohn have gotten active on the transfer market and signed Soeren Fritze (190-PG-94). Fritze is a German U-20 national player that comes from the EN Baskets Schwelm. Last season the 21 year old 190cm guard started the season with the Mitteldeutscher BC Weissenfels (BBL), played also at BSW Sixers Sandersdorf (Regionalliga), left in Jan.'16, later that month signed at EN Baskets Schwelm (ProB) and played 11 games averaging3.9ppg, 1.6rpg, 1.8apg. "I know Soeren since many years and know his qualities as a guy that is a tough defender and a versatile offensive player with a strong drive to the hoop, solid shot and good eye for his teammates.. I am happy that he decided to come to Iserlohn as he fits perfect to our concept as a young player coming from the region", stated head coach Matthias Grothe.
Fritze started his basketball career in 2010 with
BG Hagen 2 (2.Regionalliga) where he played until 2013 and also played for the NBBL team. In the 2013-2014 season he made the jump to Phoenix Hagen (BBL): 5 games: 1.0ppg, played also at BG Hagen (Regionalliga) playing 24 games: 14.2ppg, 2.3rpg, 3.7apg, 1.2spg, FGP: 49.1%, 3Pts: 32.2%, FT: 73.0%. In the 2014-2015 season he played for : Ratiopharm Ulm (BBL), played also at Weissenhorn Youngstars (ProB): 2 games: 13.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 3.0apg. Science City Jena (ProA) confirmed in their roster 29-year old domestic power forward Oliver Clay (205-109kg-87). He played there last season. In 38 ProA games he had 6.9ppg and 5.1rpg. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place.
The previous (14-15) season Clay played at Mitteldeutscher BC (BBL). In 32 games he recorded 4.5ppg and 2.8rpg in 2014-15 season. He was selected to German Bundesliga U-20 All-Star Game back in 2007.
Clay was a member of German U20 National Team in 2007.
He has played previously for six other Germany teams: ALBA Berlin, Gladiators, Lichterfelde, s Oliver Baskets, Zehlendorf and ALBA Berlin 2nd team.

Robin Christen (202-F-91) has been one of those players that has sprouted enormous basketball potential in the last 3-4 years, but just hadn't had his break through until last season where he became a household name in the German Pro A. He had a very strong season with the Hebeisen White Wings Hanau and apparently was unable to be held there finacially and now he has moved on to the RheinStars in Cologne where he will be looking to make a further step in his career. Christen is a 24 year old 202cm forward that last season played 29 games for Hanau averaging 12.1ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.6apg, FGP: 43.8%, 3PT: 34.3%, FT: 80.4%. Apparently the German was the desired candidate for the club. "He can play the small forward and power forward positions. We are very happy that he decided to join our program", stressed RheinStars CEO Stehan Baeck.
Christin started his basketball career in 2007 with the
BBLZ Mittelhessen. He then played four years for Lich while also having a double license to paly for the Giessen 46ers where he played in 17 games getting a taste of the Beko BBL. He then moved to Essen to the ETB Wohnbau Baskets where he played a total of 78 Pro A games. His best season was his first where he played 28 games averaging 5.1ppg, 2.3rpg, FGP: 43.8%, 3PT: 32.8%, FT: 81.3%. "The RheinStars are a project with ambitious goals. I like those kind of challenges. I want to improve my game while also continuingmy studies. That is why Cologne was the firsta ddress for my development", added Robin Christen. Last season with Hanau he scored in double figures 19 times. Some of his best scoring games were against Paderborn with 25 and 20 points against Kirchheim. He also had 18 point games against Jena, Trier, Essen and Vechta. Awards and achievements in his basketball career have been German NBBL All-Star Game -09, 10 and Eurobasket.com All-German 2.Bundesliga Pro A Honorable Mention -16.

CAI Zaragoza (Liga Endesa) landed 23-year old Greek shooting guard Giannoulis Larentzakis (195-93, agency: Octagon Europe). He moved there from Kolossos in Greek A1 league where he played this season. In 27 games he averaged 11.9ppg, 4.2rpg, 2.9apg and 1.4spg. The last season Larentzakis played also at Kolossos (A1) in Greece. In 28 games he had 7.1ppg, 2.7rpg and 1.4apg.
Among other achievements his team made it to the Greek Cup final in 2014. Larentzakis received also Eurobasket.com All-European Championships U20 2nd Team award back in 2012. He represented Greece at the European Championships U20 in Tallinn (Estonia) three years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 12.9ppg, 1.8rpg, 2.8apg, 1.1spg, FGP: 38.9%, 3PT: 30.6%, FT: 85.7%.
Larentzakis has played also professionally for other Greek teams like Aris, Ikaros Kallitheas and Egaleo.

  Hungary - Benke signs, Kerpel-Fronius extends with ZTE  - by Levente Szabo

21 year old forward, Szilard Benke (196-F-95) will leave his hometown of Kaposvar and will join Zalakeramia-ZTE KK from next season. The 6"5" (196 cm) player reached an agreement with Zalakeramia-ZTE KK last week.
The young Hungarian forward is one of the most talented Hungarian players in his age group. He had a breakout year this year in the Hungarian top division finishing the season with an average of 10.4ppg, 3.1rpg, 1apg, 0.8spg and 0.4bpg. He scored in double figures 18 times out of 37 games and he recorded 20 points games 3 times during the year. His good overall performance is even more impressive when we are taking in consideration that he did all of this by playing alongside 4 imports and one of the best Hungarian players of the league, Roland Hendlein.
Additional news from Zalakeramia-ZTE KK is that they extended contracts with Balazs Kerpel-Fronius (194-G/F-92) and Viktor Fekete (189-G-95).
Supporters of Zalakeramia-ZTE KK should be very happy with the extension of Balazs Kerpel-Fronius (194-G/F-92) as the 24 year old Hungarian guard was one of the bright spots of the team this year, playing major minutes (30.1) and finishing the year recording: 9.4ppg, 3.3rpg, 0.9apg and 0.7spg while shooting an amazing 71% (93/131) from the field.

Jonsson represented Iceland at the European Championships U16 Division B in Sarajevo (Bosnia) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 9 games: 4.8ppg, 2.7rpg, 1.1spg.

Stjarnan (Dominos League) re-signed 35-year old former Icelandic international point guard Justin Shouse (181-81, college: Mercyhurst). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Shouse has played there for the last two seasons. In 26 Dominos League games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.8ppg, 5.5rpg, 5.6apg (top 4) and 1.7spg last season. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also played in the supercup final. A very good season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Icelandic League 1st Team and All-Domestic Players Team.
Among other achievements Shouse played in the final of Icelandic League in 2008, 2011 and 2013. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Icelandic League Import Player of the Year award back in 2010. Shouse was a member of Icelandic Senior National Team in 2013.
He has played previously professionally in Germany (Bergheim).
Shouse is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Stjarnan.
Shouse attended Mercyhurst College until 2004 and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season in pro basketball.
