The previous (15-16) season Lima played at Real Madrid in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 18 games he recorded 4.9ppg and 3.1rpg. He contributed to his team winning the league title (twice) despite they ended the regular season at the second place (twice). Lima also played 8 games in Euroleague where he got 3.4ppg and 2.0rpg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals. The other team Lima played that season for was UCAM Murcia (Liga Endesa) in Spain. In 17 games he got 9.1ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1spg.
Among other achievements he received Latinbasket.com All-Panamerican Games 2nd Team award in 2015.
Lima has been also a member of Brazilian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Brazilian senior team since 2011 and previously for U17 National Team back in 2007.
Lima represented Brazil at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) last year. His stats at that event were 4 games: 6.5ppg, 6.3rpg, FGP: 62.5%.
Lima has played previously for two other Spanish teams: Unicaja Malaga and CB Granada.
Let's have closer look into His outlook: An inside player with huge upside. He's long, has great body (Dwight Howard type), he's a great leaper. Intense and aggressive, Augusto can be very dominant inside, and very active on both boards, snatching rebounds and blocking shots. He understands the game very well and knows how to position himself on the court. A great 1 on 1 defender, has good mobility, runs the court like a guard and finishes every play aggressively. Offensively, he has good post moves, decent outside shot and good presence inside to receive passes. Needs to add some weight and polish his offensive skills, but future is bright.
