Euroleague - Vladimir Stimac signs at Anadolu Efes  - by Fersu Yahyabeyoglu - 31 minutes ago

Anadolu Efes Istanbul (BSL) landed 30-year old Serbian international center Vladimir Stimac (210-118kg-87, agency: Interperformances). He played most recently at Besiktas (BSL). In 40 games he averaged 13.9ppg, 9.6rpg and 1.1apg last season. Stimac helped them to make it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Turkish League Center of the Year, selected to 1st Team and selected to All-Imports Team. Stimac also played 16 games in Basketball Champions League where he had 13.3ppg, 9.5rpg (leader !!!) and 1.2apg. He can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Basketball Champions League 2nd Team.
The previous (15-16) season Stimac played at Crvena Zvezda in Serbian KLS. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 11 KLS games he recorded 5.9ppg and 4.7rpg. Stimac contributed to his team winning the league title (twice) (also twice). Stimac also played 25 games in Euroleague where he got 6.9ppg and 5.0rpg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals. Stimac also played 24 games in ABA League where he got 7.0ppg and 4.6rpg. The other team Stimac played shortly was Movil Estudiantes in Spanish Liga Endesa. In three games he got 11.0ppg and 6.3rpg.
Stimac has been also a member of Serbian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Serbian senior team since 2012 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2007.
Stimac represented Serbia at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) last year. His team won Silver and his stats at that event were 5 games: 3.4ppg, 4.2rpg.
Stimac is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Germany (Bayern Muenchen), Latvia (Valmiera and Ventspils), Lithuania (Zalgiris and Zalgiris II Kaunas), Spain (Unicaja Malaga), Serbia (KK Beovuk 72 Beograd), Czech Republic (CEZ Nymburk) and Turkey (Banvit and Eskisehir Basket).
Let's have closer look into Stimac's outlook: Stimac is another very rich skilled Serbian center with many prospects in the European (and not only) courts. Vladimir is the total definition of a newly "born" center. Has very good skills in the paint, Can defense much taller opponents, can dash down any rebound in both edges and can do all the dirty job that a coach might ask him.
Has many weaknesses in the fouling as he can easily fouled out as his opponent can easily predict his passion and obsession in the game so they can simply take him out in no time. In the last European championship he only played for 18 minutes per game and had 6.5ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.1apg and 1.4bpg. He needs to work hard in order to add some fantasy in his game, plus a lot of workout in his shots from the charity line, as his percentages are really poor, around 40% !!

Sinis attended University of San Diego until 2014 and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into His outlook: (By Chris Mammides)
Ioannis is another Greek shooting guard with great potentials and amazing abilities who had to work abroad in order to be recognized by his own people and let him play in a higher level league than the one of the Third division in Greece. Sinis is a serious shooting guard and quite explosive around the basket. Good scorer, can shoot the ball although he feels more comfortable driving to the basket. He grew up playing as point guard and in Patras most times he was carrying the ball, so he has inherited a good court vision and can put the ball on the floor without problems. Ioannis is a solid defender, can guard even bigger forwards due to his strong body frame. He will definitely play in one of the big Greek teams as already Aris Thessalonikis wanted to add him in his roster since 2008

Sow, a 6-1, 185lbs. point guard, will be joining Laurier from his former team Ottawa Next Level in Ottawa, Ont. Sow achieved outstanding statistics from the championship game at the St-Laurent Express Tournament Championship that generated much buzz in the basketball community. Serresse, who has previously coached Sow for two years in Ottawa, reflected on Sow as a 'natural shooter who is always able to finish the job at the rim'. Serresee further commented, 'Ali will be able to play both the scoring guard and the point guard which will keep Kokko fresh for games. He will have a significant impact in his first season'.

From Hamilton, Ont. Laurier also is adding Goran Veselinovic, who weighs in at 190lbs. and stands at 6-3. During his time on the court, he was able to win two Golden Horseshoe Athletic Conferences Championships.
Reflecting on the time he coached against Veselinovic's previous team, Serresse stated 'Goran is a scrappy wing player who has the ability to get really hot shots from the 3pt line. He is a very smart player that is willing to do anything in order for his team to win the game, I think he will bring great intensity in practice and in games'.
Standing at a staggering 6-10 and weighing in at 220lbs., Laurier added Kenning from Kitchener, Ont. to the roster. From reviewing his time playing for his prior team the Waterloo Wolverines, this power forward is bound to make an impact on the court.
