They shot down Lietuvos Rytas to claim the title for the third time in a row. Mantas Kalnietis (196-G-86, agency: Interperformances) stepped up with 19 points to pace the winners. Lietuvos Rytas spurred ahead in the first term. Nearly perfect offense propelled the Vilnius team to a 26:22 lead after ten minutes. Zalgiris changed the complexion of the game in the second frame. They shut down their opponents defensively limiting those to only 10 points. Zalgiris erased the deficit and eventually posted a 42:36 halftime lead. Zalgiris maintained the lead throughout the third term. They arrived at the final intermission up by as many as 5 points 59:54. Marko Popovic (185-G-82, agency: Alti Sport, college: S.Idaho JC) gave Zalgiris a 12-point lead midway through the final term 70:58. Javtokas then converted a layup to stretch the margin to 14-point mark. But Lietuvos Rytas answered with a 9:0 run to narrow the gap. Tyrese Rice (185-PG-87, agency: Priority Sports, college: Boston Coll.) dragged the Vilnius team within 4 points with 19 seconds remaining however Lietuvos Rytas failed to capitalize on Jankunas turnover and Zalgiris hang on to win the battle. Mindaugas Kuzminskas (205-F-89) and Marko Popovic provided 11 points each for Zalgiris. Tyrese Rice answered with 20 points for Lietuvos Rytas. Predrag Samardziski (214-C-86, agency: Beo Basket) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the loss. 3rd Place: Siauliai - VEF Riga 75-92 VEF Riga earned Baltic League Bronze medals. They overcame Siauliai tonight to step onto the pedestal. Antanas Kavaliauskas (208-C-84, agency: Interperformances, college: Texas A&M) stepped up with 24 points for VEF Riga. Siauliai started the game aggressively. Supported by sold-out crowd at the Siauliai Arena the hosts eked out a 24:20 lead after ten minutes. But VEF Riga gained composure in the second frame. The Latvian team unleashed 30 points in the second period to establish a 50:40 halftime lead. VEF Riga limited Siauliai to just 12 points in the third term to accumulate a 15-point lead at the final intermission 68:53. The hosts never recovered in the fourth term as VEF Riga cruised to the victory at the end. Kristaps Janicenoks (196-F-83) finished with 16 points, while Donatas Zavackas (203-F-80, college: Pittsburgh) produced 15 points in the win. Darius Gvezdauskas (191-PG-88) answered with 20 points for Siauliai. Vitali Liutych (198-G/F-92) had 13 points in the loss.

They lost to Rakvere at home court yesterday but having enjoyed a 15-point victory on the road Lietkabelis came out winners on aggregate. Tarvas gave out everything they had in this one. The Estonian team got to an aggressive start. They registered a 17:12 lead after ten minutes. Lietkabelis however answered with a 30-point tally in the second term to step in front 42:39. Tarvas pulled back ahead in the third term. The visitors once again played attentively in defence and secured a 61:58 lead with one quarter remaining. Kaspars Cipruss (210-C-82, agency: Interperformances) gave Tarvas a needed 15-point lead with just over two minutes remaining in regulation but Lietkabelis survived the challenge. Matulionis and Vasiliauskas converted crucial free throws in the dying seconds to cut the deficit and eventually Lietkabelis gained much needed result. Kaspars Cipruss posted 30 points and 15 rebounds for Tarvas. Reinar Hallik (208-C-84) added 18 points for the winners. Edgaras Stanionis (193-G-88) and Adomas Drungilas (203-C-90) answered with 13 points each for Lietkabelis.
