Regular Season Round 17: Z*Kebs de Laval - Z*Vermont FH 94-119
Date: April 9, 2010
Vermont used its tremendous depth Friday night to help bury its disappointment from Thursday's loss and earned a 119-94 Premier Basketball League victory over Quebec in its regular-season finale at Memorial Auditorium. Vermont ends the regular season at 12-8 while Quebec ends at 4-16. The Kebs have been eliminated from playoff contention, while the Frost Heaves' post-season plans remain on hold while the league irons out what it wants to do after allowing Puerto Rico to rejoin the mix. All 11 Frost Heaves scored and grabbed at least one rebound. Al Stewart led the way with 18 points, two assists and three steals. Ross Demasi of Swanton added 17 points, six rebounds and two assists, Jawan Bailey finished with 16 points and nine rebounds, Marshall Brown and Markus Austin both tallied 13 points and Matt Hall chipped in 10 points. The Vermont bench was more than effective, outscoring the Quebec reserves 69-14. The Kebs were paced by Samuel Audet-Sow's game-high 25 points and seven rebounds. Jamaal Wise added 24 points and eight rebounds, Brandon Morris had a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double, Jean-Phillipe Morin added 12 points and Charles Fortier chipped in 10 points. *Courtesy of www.timesargus.com
