Regular Season Round 25: TianJin S. - Liaoning H. 82-92

Very predictable result in Tianjin where eleventh ranked Liaoning Hunters (11-13) beat bottom-ranked TianJin Rongcheng (4-19) 92-82. It looked good early as TianJin Rongcheng took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Liaoning Hunters had a 31-22 second period charge getting the lead and TianJin Rongcheng was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 82-92. Liaoning Hunters dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to TianJin Rongcheng's 44. They outrebounded TianJin Rongcheng 54-41 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a very good performance for center Dejun Han (215-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. The former international center Xiaoxu Li (207-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (207-81, college: Rutgers) answered with a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 10 blocks and forward GuiJun Xu (202-80) added 20 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for TianJin Rongcheng. Five Liaoning Hunters and four TianJin Rongcheng players scored in double figures. TianJin Rongcheng's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Liaoning Hunters moved-up to tenth place. TianJin Rongcheng lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost. Liaoning Hunters will play against Foshan (#15) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. TianJin Rongcheng will play against Jilin Tigers in Changchun and hopes to get back on the winning track.
