Megido/Yokneam did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 90-73 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Megido/Yokneam. Hapoel Afula was better in fourth quarter 32-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Hapoel Afula 43-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American-Puerto Rican forward Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita St., agency: Global Sports Plaza) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds. American forward Nate Miller (193-87, college: Bowling Green) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized Welsh forward Tal Michael Dunne (197-87) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American forward Bryant Markson (198-83, college: Utah) added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Megido/Yokneam have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-8 record having seven points less than leader Hapoel T-A, which they share with Elitzur Yavne. Loser Hapoel Afula dropped to the seventh place with 11 games lost. Megido/Yokneam will face Elitzur Ramla (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Hapoel Afula will play against Beer Yaakov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
