Very expected game in San Juan where 13th ranked Aguilas Rojas (6-33) were crushed by fifth ranked Pioneros (25-13) 125-104 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Pioneros. Aguilas Rojas was better in fourth quarter 38-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. At the losing side American point guard Daryl Dorsey (185-81, college: S.Indiana) responded with a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!), 18 assists and 6 steals and the former international swingman Erick Hare (196-79, college: Idaho Coll.) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Aguilas Rojas players scored in double figures. Pioneros have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Soles. Aguilas Rojas lost twelfth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 33 games lost. Pioneros will face Barreteros (#9) in Zacatecas in the next round where they are favorite. Aguilas Rojas will play on the road against Toros (#3) in Nuevo Laredo.
