Very expected game when 10th ranked Kouvot (10-19) lost on the road to third ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (18-10) 73-61. The game without a history. Tampereen Pyrinto led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kouvot's 30. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Damon Williams (201-73, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kenneth Lowe (192-80, college: Purdue) who added 16 points during the contest. Guard Antoine Jordan (196-83, college: Siena) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and forward Anthony Brown (203-86, college: Oklahoma St., agency: KMG Sports Management) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Tampereen Pyrinto have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 18-10 record having seven points less than leader Kataja. Kouvot lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 19 games lost. Tampereen Pyrinto will play against league's second-placed Loimaan Korikonkarit at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kouvot will play against Kauhajoen Karhu (#4) in Kauhajoki and hopes to get back on the winning track.
