Regular Season Round 9: St Vallier - Pau-Lacq-Orthez 90-82

ProB round 9 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Pau-Lacq-Orthez (7-2) against tenth ranked Saint Vallier (5-4) 90-82 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Pau-Lacq-Orthez. The hosts trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 8 points. Saint Vallier made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Pau-Lacq-Orthez turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Pau-Lacq-Orthez helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American Corey Rouse (204-84, college: E.Carolina, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). His fellow American import swingman Roy Booker (191-84, college: SE Missouri St.) contributed with 24 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Saint Vallier moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Pau-Lacq-Orthez at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Antibes who have the same record. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play next round against SO Maritime Boulogne trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Saint Vallier will try to continue on its current victory against fifteenth ranked Charleville-Mezieres on the road.
