There was no surprise when 11th ranked CSU Sibiu (3-6) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Ploiesti (6-3) 83-71 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 39-23 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Ploiesti made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Ploiesti outrebounded CSU Sibiu 40-23 including 26 on the defensive glass.
