Regular Season Round 10: Fuerza Regia - Soles 73-76

Important game to mention about took place in Monterrey. Fifth ranked Soles (6-1) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 8th ranked Fuerza Regia (3-5) 76-73 on Sunday evening. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-11. But Fuerza Regia won third quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. International forward Roman Martinez (201-88, college: N.Mexico) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Zach Graham (198-89, college: Mississippi) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Four Soles players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Mario West (195-84, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Leroy Davis (200-81, college: Georgia St.) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Soles have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Fuerza Regia lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with five games lost. Soles will play against Pioneros (#5) in Cancun in the next round. Fuerza Regia will play on the road against Correcaminos in Ciudad Victoria and hopes to get back on the winning track.
