Regular Season Round 5: Maliye Milli - Antalya 63-75

Date: November 2, 2013
Everything could happen in Ankara at the game between two tied teams. Both sixteenth ranked Antalya and 17th ranked Maliye Milli had identical 1-3 record. But Maliye Milli was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Antalya 75-63 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Antalya. Maliye Milli was better in second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American guard Henry Antwan Dobie (183-78, college: LIU Brooklyn) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 assists. His fellow American import forward Damien Kinloch (203-80, college: Tenn Tech) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Antalya players scored in double figures. American power forward Sean Carter (205-88, college: Massachusetts) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Deniz Cevik (190-94, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Antalya (2-3) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Maliye Milli dropped to the sixteenth position with four games lost. Antalya will face higher ranked Balikesir (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Maliye Milli will play against Pamukkale (#7) and hope to win that game.
