A very interesting game took place in Al Wakrah. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Qatar Sports Club (1-8) to seventh ranked Al Wakrah (4-5) 103-102 on Thursday evening. Al Wakrah forced 20 Qatar Sports Club turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Al Wakrah brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a very good performance for Rwandan-American guard Kenny Wilson (193-84, college: Boise St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. American forward Dalron Johnson (206-81, college: UNLV) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Al Wakrah players scored in double figures. American guard Melquan Bolding (190-88, college: Fair Dickinson) replied with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import swingman Chauncey Leslie (183-81, college: Iowa) added 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Qatar Sports Club. Al Wakrah maintains seventh position with 4-5 record. Qatar Sports Club at the other side stay at the bottom place with eight games lost. Al Wakrah's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Al Sadd in Doha and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
