Regular Season Round 8: LSU-Atletas - Dzukija 77-83

There was a minor upset in Kaunas where 8th ranked LSU-Atletas (2-6) was defeated by tenth ranked Dzukija (2-5) 83-77 on Sunday. LSU-Atletas was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Zydrunas Kelys (188-87) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 assists and American guard James Lewis (191-86, college: Fresno Pacific) who added 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Dzukija players scored in double figures. Guard Sarunas Vingelis (191-89) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and forward Vidmantas Sragauskis (200-86) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. LSU-Atletas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Dzukija moved-up to ninth place. LSU-Atletas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Dzukija will meet at home league's leader Tonybet in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. LSU-Atletas will play against P.Zvaigzdes (#3) and hope to secure a win.
