A1 top team - Familia Schio (11-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat twelfth ranked C.U.S. Chieti (0-12) 81-63. C.U.S. Chieti was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. They outrebounded C.U.S. Chieti 42-31 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by French center Elodie Godin (191-85) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 19 rebounds and international forward Raffaella Masciadri (188-80) supported her with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Five Familia Schio players scored in double figures. Familia Schio's coach Miguel Mendez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 29 points by Argentinian point guard Debora Gonzalez (170-90, agency: Players Group) did not help to save the game for C.U.S. Chieti. The former international center Elisa Silva (192-88) added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Familia Schio have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 11-1 record, which they share with Ragusa. C.U.S. Chieti at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Familia Schio will play against Cagliari CUS (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. C.U.S. Chieti will play against the league's second-placed Ragusa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
