Regular Season Round 24: Falcon - SISU 80-75

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked SISU (7-10) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Falcon (6-12) 80-75 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 44-34 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was power forward Taylor Darby (204-90, college: Pepperdine) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds. Center Robert Thurman (208-89, college: California) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Falcon's coach Rade Vojnovic used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Mickey Dennis (190-78, college: JMU) who recorded 24 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Joe Benjamin (200-83, college: W.Virginia St.) added 18 points respectively. Newly promoted Falcon maintains ninth position with 6-12 record. Loser SISU dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. Falcon will meet higher ranked Naestved (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SISU will play against Svendborg and hope to secure a win.
