Regular Season Round 28: Horsholm - Horsens IC 60-62

The most exciting game of round 28 in the Ligaen took place in Horsholm. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 7th ranked Horsholm (9-14) to fourth ranked Horsens IC (12-11) 62-60 on Saturday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Horsholm won third quarter 9-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Horsens IC won last quarter 23-22. Horsens IC outrebounded Horsholm 31-18 including 21 on the defensive glass. International center Jonas Zohore Bergstedt (210-91) fired 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard Skyler Bowlin (190-89, college: Missouri So.) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. American guard Brenton Butler (188-87, college: Fordham) produced 17 points and 4 assists and Hungarian forward Attila Kovacs (202-85) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Horsens IC maintains fourth position with 12-11 record. Horsholm at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 14 games lost. Horsens IC are looking forward to face Aalborg (#7) at home in the next round. Horsholm will play against SISU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
