Fourteenth-ranked SPO Rouen (11-20) made lots of trouble for ninth ranked Poitiers (17-14) on Tuesday. The visitors from Poitiers managed to secure only three-point victory 64-61. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 19-9. But SPO Rouen won second period 13-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Poitiers made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. American point guard Justin Ingram (189-85, college: Toledo, agency: Two Points) fired 18 points for the winners. point guard Arnaud Thinon (178-87) chipped in 15 points. American Marvin Phillips (201-83, college: Claflin) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and center Garry Florimont (203-87) added 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. They have a solid series of four victories in a row. Poitiers moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Le Portel and Hyeres-Toulon. SPO Rouen lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. Poitiers will face bottom-ranked Orchesien BC (#18) in Orchies in the next round which should be an easy win for them. SPO Rouen will play on the road against Denain Voltaire and hope to win that game.
