Very predictable result in Ankara where fourth ranked Vestel (16-8) outscored bottom-ranked Hacettepe (3-21) 102-78 on Saturday. The game without a history. Vestel led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Cihan Amasyali (191-83) who scored 25 points. American guard Alex Gordon (184-85, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. Four Vestel players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Atakan Denk (194-91) who recorded 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Jordanian guard Sinan Eid (193-91) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vestel maintains fourth position with 16-8 record. Hacettepe lost eighteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 21 lost games. Vestel will face Antalya (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
