Regular Season Round 31: Horsens IC - Falcon 89-88

Ninth-ranked Falcon (8-17) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Horsens IC (13-12) on Thursday. Horsens IC managed to secure only one-point victory 89-88. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-88. Horsens IC made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard Skyler Bowlin (190-89, college: Missouri So.) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!). International center Jonas Zohore Bergstedt (210-91) helped adding 18 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side American power forward Taylor Darby (204-90, college: Pepperdine) responded with 25 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import center Robert Thurman (208-89, college: California) scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Horsens IC maintains fourth place with 13-12 record. Newly promoted Falcon keeps the ninth position with 17 games lost. Horsens IC will meet league's second-placed Svendborg on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Falcon will play against Vaerlose (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
