Regular Season Round 26: Breogan - Clinicas Rincon 81-75
Date: April 4, 2014
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (18-8) beat 9th ranked Clinicas Rincon (11-15) in Lugo 81-75 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-75. Leche Rio Breogan forced 21 Clinicas Rincon turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Tyrus McGee (188-91, college: Iowa St.) notched 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and power forward Adrian Laso (205-90) supported him with 15 points and 4 assists. Laso is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 26 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) by Serbian power forward Kenan Karahodzic (209-96) did not help to save the game for Clinicas Rincon. Naturalized Lithuanian forward Tautvydas Sabonis (203-92) added 11 points for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Leche Rio Breogan maintains fourth position with 18-8 record. Newly promoted Clinicas Rincon keeps the ninth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Forca Lleida.
