Cuba spoil Jamaica’s start in Nayarit at Centrobasket 2014. They overcame the opponents 70:58 and improved to 2-0 record in Group B. Cuba grabbed 22-12 lead from the start, but could not keep the difference at the half. Jamaica responded with a 15-9 rally and reduced to 4 points at the halftime. Moreover the latter tied the game after 30 minutes when they won the third period 19-15. Cuba however exploded with a 24-12 burst in the last stanza to seal the victory. Jasul Rivero led the way with 18 points and Osmel Oliva notched 13. Lisvan Valdez had 10, whilst Javier Justis produced 9. Akeem Scott finished the game with 20 points and Garfield Blair nailed 18 in a loss.
