But Wikana Start was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Zielona Gora 86-73 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Stelmet. Wikana Start was better in third quarter 32-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quite impressive performance for American-Ukrainian guard Steven Burtt (189-84, college: Iona) who helped to win the game recording 25 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American Chevon Troutman (202-81, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Stelmet players scored in double figures. American guard Bryon Allen (190-92, college: George Mason) answered with 27 points and the other American import center Robert Lewandowski (208-89, college: Texas Tech) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Wikana Start. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Stelmet will face MKS Dabrowa Gornicza at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Wikana Start will play against Wilki Morskie in Szczecin and hope to win that game.
