Eisbaeren Bremerhaven used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Ludwigsburg 70-64. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But EnBW Ludwigsburg won fourth quarter 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for power forward Devin Searcy (208-89, college: Dayton) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Tyrus McGee (188-91, college: Iowa St.) helped adding 14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven's coach Calvin Oldham allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Kerron Johnson (185-90, college: Belmont) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and guard Folarin Campbell (192-86, college: George Mason) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play at home against Crailsheim Merlins to get more than just one victory in their record.
