Regular Season Round 3: Sokol Lancut - Znicz Basket 84-62

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Znicz Basket (2-1) on the court of Sokol Lancut on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Sokol Lancut 84-62. The game was mostly controlled by Sokol Lancut. Znicz Basket managed to win fourth quarter 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Znicz Basket 40-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sokol Lancut made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for point guard Karol Szpyrka (182-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points. Power forward Maciej Klima (203-82) helped adding 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Sokol Lancut players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Adam Linowski (201-87, agency: Promotex) with 10 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Pawel Hybiak (173-89) scored 6 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sokol Lancut is looking forward to face Zaglebie in Sosnowiec in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Znicz Basket will play at home against GTK Gliwice and is hoping to win this game.
