Regular Season Round 3: Rosa Radom - Anwil 77-71

Not a big story in a game in Radom where Anwil (0-3) was defeated by Rosa (2-1) 77-71 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-71. Rosa looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American center John Turek (205-83, college: Nebraska) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Danny Gibson (177-84, college: S.Indiana) helped adding 20 points. Four Rosa players scored in double figures. Rosa's coach Wojciech Kaminski used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was naturalized German Konrad Wysocki (200-82, college: Princeton) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Lithuanian point guard Arvydas Eitutavicius (188-82, college: American) scored 19 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Rosa will meet at home Polpharma in the next round. Anwil will play against Wilki Morskie and hopes to get finally their first victory.
