Regular Season Round 2: Hapoel Kazrin - Hapoel K/S 96-90

Date: October 28, 2014
There was no surprise when Hapoel Kfar Saba (0-2) was defeated on the road by Hapoel Kazrin (2-0) 96-90. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Hapoel Kazrin made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Hapoel Kazrin outrebounded Hapoel Kfar Saba 35-23 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. American forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas) notched a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and American-Puerto Rican Devon Collier (203-91, college: Oregon St.) supported him with 17 points. Four Hapoel Kazrin players scored in double figures. Even 31 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Leslie McDonald (196-91, college: N.Carolina) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Kfar Saba. point guard Rom Geffen (190-94, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists for the guests. Hapoel Kazrin will play against Ironi Ramat Gan on the road in the next round. Hapoel Kfar Saba will play against Hapoel Afula to get more than just one victory in their record.
