Regular Season Round 10: Okinawa GK - Fukuoka Rizing 83-69

Very expected game when 9th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (2-8) was defeated on the road by third ranked Okinawa GK (8-2) 83-69 on Sunday. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) scored 16 points to lead the charge for the winners and Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side power forward Kirk Van Slyke (208-89, college: Arkansas St., agency: KMG Sports Management) responded with 17 points and forward Greg Logins (203-88, college: Canisius) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Okinawa GK moved-up to second place, which they share with Niigata Albirex and Akita NH. Fukuoka Rizing lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost. Okinawa GK will have a break next round. Fukuoka Rizing will play at home against Akita Happinets (#3) and hope to win that game.
