Regular Season Round 6: Burgos - Ourense 91-95

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Burgos (2-3) lost at home to eleventh ranked Ourense (3-3) 95-91. Burgos was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 29-20 charge of Ourense, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Burgos outrebounded Ourense 36-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Tyler Brown (191-90, college: Illinois St., agency: Three Eye Sports) who scored 19 points. Power forward Guillermo Rejon (206-77) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Albert Sabat (182-85) who recorded 15 points and 6 assists and American power forward Taylor Coppenrath (205-81, college: Vermont) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Ourense moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Oviedo and Palma. Burgos at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. Ourense's next round opponent will be Lobe Huesca (#12) at home. Burgos will play against Palma in S'Arenal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
